Physical Fitness Requirements

Law Enforcement Standard:

• 2000 meter row (law enforcement applicants, i.e. patrol deputy, motorcycle deputy, etc...)

• target time will be calculated prior to testing using your gender, age, & weight

Correction Officer Standard:

• • 500 meter row (corrections officer/medical officer/ commissioned corrections officer applicants)

  • target time for male applicants - 2 minutes 33 seconds

  • target time for female applicants - 2 minutes 54 seconds

Physical testing is administered using the Concept 2 rower. The following link is directly from Concept 2 and will provide you with an opportunity to view proper rowing techniques prior to testing.
